Utah Gravity Sports
Utah Gravity Sports is a new student group at the University of Utah that me and a couple of friends just started this year. Salt Lake City and the U has more to offer then just skiing, it is a mecca for extreme and gravity driven sports. This blog will follow UGS and keep you posted on all the latest news and events we are putting on.

Taking a Break
Hey UGSers, as you all know it is Thanksgiving this week and we will be on break from school, so we will not be holding any events this week because most of the officers will be going home. We hope you will all be able to hit up the mountain this week and shred all this new snow. Just remember to be safe and have a great Thanksgiving break.

Just Around the Bend
Hey UGSers, as you all know we got our first real snow of the season last week and we hope you all could make it up and go shred the gnar. So in anticipation for the upcoming season we are going to be holding a rail sesh up at Alta this Saturday at noon, we will also be grilling so even if you aren't into rails stop by and just check it out. We will also have some of the officers hiking up Alta just to shred, so feel free to join them. So stop by and grind a rail, eat a dog, and have a great time.

collaboration
Hey UGS! Great news, we are going to be partnering up with the Utah Freeskier Society (UFS) to bring you a seminar about avalanche safety. Someone from the Utah Avalanche Center will be coming to talk about how to avoid being caught in an avalanche and other safety tips. This will be happening on November 11th and will be free for everyone, so tell your friends because we want everyone to be safe this winter. We have not chosen a time or location yet so i will keep you posted on that.

Climb sesh
what's up everyone! We hope everyone had a great fall break and went on some sort of outdoor adventure, because we sure did. We plan on doing a little rock climbing session hopefully this week, so if you are interested come by our table at the union plaza, on Wednesday or Friday and sign up. We would like to get a rough estimate of the number of people who would be interested. The date and time are still TBD so we will keep you all posted. Hope everyone can make it!

If you missed it the first time, don't worry, were going back!
Hey everyone! First off i would like to thank everyone who showed up for the first ever UGS bike ride, it was a great success and everyone had a ton of fun. Our next bike ride is TBD. Good news, if you missed the first visit to Progressive Power Tumbling in Prove, you will get a second chance to go. We will be going on this Thursday, the 7th, and we will be meeting at the Outdoor Recreation Program building at 9:00PM and leave by 9:30. It will cost $4 and will be for MEMBERS ONLY, that means if you have not paid you will not be allowed to go. But don't worry, its not too late to pay, you can stop by our table anytime and pay for a membership, or you can pay before we leave for the tramp gym. Also, there will be no events next week because of fall break, so we hope everyone has a great break and hope to see you all this Thursday.
